Matias Campiani, Partner  
Matias is a partner at Leadgate. He is currently serving as President and CEO of Pluna S.A., a Leadgate portfolio company. Matias has vast experience in restructurings, most recently as CEO of Parmalat Uruguay, Uruguay’s second largest dairy company, acquired by Leadgate from Parmalat Spa from Italy. He also has vast experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, in which he successfully founded and managed several companies in the U.S. and Europe. Before founding Leadgate, Matias worked for Alcoa, where he held managerial positions in Germany and England and for CEPA, one of Argentina’s leading meat exporters. He holds a BA degree in Finance and Economics from Universidad Católica Argentina and a Master in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Arturo A. Demalde, Partner  
Arturo is a partner at Leadgate. He currently serves as VP of Transformation at Pluna. Prior to Pluna he co-headed the turnaround effort at Parmalat Uruguay. Before joining Leadgate Arturo held managerial positions in strategy, sales and marketing in the technology and telecommunications sector in Latin America, the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East for Siemens and Dell Computers. He holds a BA degree in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires and an MBA (with honors) from Harvard Business School.
Sebastian Hirsch, Partner  
Sebastian is a partner at Leadgate, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Pluna. Before Pluna he successfully managed Parmalat Uruguay’s turnaround. Before joining Leadgate Sebastian worked for management consultancy firm McKinsey & Co. in Europe, focusing on corporate finance and leading cost reduction projects, post-merger integrations and strategy developments in the banking, logistics, insurance and automotive sectors. He also worked in investment banking for Goldman Sachs in New York, and in operations management at Citibank Argentina and Procter & Gamble. Sebastian is an Industrial Engineer from Instituto Tecnológico Buenos Aires and holds an MBA (with honors) from Columbia Business School, New York.
Mark Klimmek, Manager  
Mark is a Manager at Leadgate. He joined Leadgate after having worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in London and Munich. During that time, he served clients across Europe in the field of banking and private equity, focusing mostly on the development and realization of growth strategies, on reorganization, and on corporate finance. Prior to that, Mark worked in Lufthansa’s strategy department and was part of the radio news cast for BBC News in the UK and, later, Frankfurt-based Radio FFH. Mark holds a graduate degree in Business Administration from the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, and an MBA from Joseph M. Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.
Pablo M. Vera Pinto, Manager  
Pablo is a Manager at Leadgate. He joined Leadgate from McKinsey & Co. in Europe, where he worked on strategy development, commercial transformation and operational turnaround projects in the consumer goods and retail sectors. Previously, he worked in investment banking for Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, as part of its technology and media groups, and for Lehman Brothers based in Buenos Aires. Pablo has gained consulting and corporate finance experience in the U.S., Germany, U.K., Spain, Canada, The Netherlands, Brasil, Argentina and Uruguay. He holds a BA degree in Economics from Universidad Di Tella and an MBA degree from INSEAD, France.
Patricio Amuchastegui, Associate  
Patricio is an Associate at Leadgate. Prior to joining Leadgate, he worked for management consulting firm Bain & Co. in South America, focusing on customer segmentation, value proposition development, corporate strategy, consumer finance and M&A in the telecommunications, autoparts, tobacco, wholesale and private equity industries. He has also worked at CMS Energy and Repsol-YPF. Within these companies, he served as a business development analyst and as a trader. He is currently working at Pluna’s Transformation Office. Patricio is an Industrial Engineer from Instituto Tecnológico Buenos Aires, holds an MSc in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines (with honors), a Diplome d’Ingenieur in Petroleum Economics and Management from the IFP School in France and an MBA (with honors) from Columbia Business School, New York..
Inés Marizcurrena, Analyst  
Ines is an analyst at Leadgate. Before joining Leadgate she worked for Prosperitas Capital Partners, based in Montevideo, Uruguay. She is currently working at Pluna’s Transformation Office. Ines holds a BA degree in Economics from Universidad de Montevideo and a BSc. in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics.
Román Hughes, Analyst  
Roman is an analyst at Leadgate. He joined Leadgate from ABN Amro Bank in Montevideo, Uruguay where he worked as a risk analyst in corporate banking and as a commercial officer in consumer banking. Previously, he worked as an accounting and tax analyst in BDO, an accounting firm based in Montevideo. He is currently working at Pluna’s Transformation Office. Román holds a graduate degree in Accounting and Finance from Universidad de Montevideo.
Rosana Larghero, Executive assistant  
Rosana is an executive assistant to the Leadgate team currently working at Pluna. Prior to Leadgate se worked as an executive assistant at Ericsson Uruguay Co. in Montevideo. Her experience includes companies in the electronic, telecommunications and consumer goods sector in Uruguay.
